After nearly 18 wonderful years, Dante has now closed its doors.
This decision was not an easy one, but it felt like the right time to bring this chapter to a close. Dante has been so much more than a restaurant — it has been a place of friendship, celebration, hard work, and community.
To everyone who supported us over the years — our customers, friends, and the local community — thank you for the loyalty, the memories, and the kindness. It truly meant more than we can say.

Established in 2008, Dante is a contemporary Italian restaurant and pizzeria situated in Potters Bar. Owned and managed by Vincenzo Abbondante - the intention for the restaurant was clear from the beginning; to ensure customers get delicious, freshly prepared and authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable, value for money prices.

Many of the dishes are recipes which have been handed down through the family, and the details are often closely guarded secrets! Most fresh produce is sourced locally, and Vincenzo and his chef regularly visit Smithfield and Billingsgate markets to ensure that only the best quality meat and fish is used. What is found there and what is in season often determines what makes it on to the Specials Board, which changes frequently.
